Vice-President Parmanand Jha, Speaker Subash Nembang, Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi, ministers, high level government officials, and chiefs of Nepal Army, and Nepal Police were also present on the occasion.
Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Dinesh Hari Koirala welcomed the President and others at the Durbar Square.
A contingent of Nepal Army accorded a guard of honour to President Yadav.
There was tight security in the areas around the Durbar Square during the arrival of the President.
